#TIME2CLEAN
As part of our Community Service module, we decided to create a project centered around raising awareness on the effects of plastic and mismanaged waste on our beaches and marine life.
RAISING AWARENESS
Posters were created by team member Phoebe to highlight how single use plastic can impact wildlife, and possible steps one could take to take to help the cause.
These posters were on display at a booth set up on 25 January in the Sunway University foyer.

FUNDRAISING
T shirts were designed by team member Lydia and priced at RM25 each.
We managed to raise RM2360 through T shirt sales (with 74 sold) as well as through donations.
THE BEACH CLEANUP
17th February 2019,

With the money raised, we were able to transport and feed
38 wonderful volunteers who helped with the
cleaning efforts

We would like to thank all who have supported us in this community service project: our volunteers who dedicated their time to help us clean, the people who supported us financially through donations and purchasing our T shirt, and our lecturers who enabled to do this project in the first place.
Through this project, we hope to have given the community here at Sunway a better insight into how trash affects the environment around us, and what we can do to help reduce it!
